The heatshrink insulation is designed to improve the mechanical strength of the joint. They are coated with hot melt adhesive to ensure a complete seal of the termination area, repairing any insulation splits resulting from crimping, making them water tight after heat application.
The insulation transparency allows you to see the connector for easy verification that the wire conductor is fully inserted into the crimp barrel before crimping.
They are abrasion resistant to protect against wear caused by excessive vibration and the flared entry design ensures ease of use
